Course Description
This class is designed to introduce students to the use of computers in creating, editing, and animating graphics for print, web, and video. The first semester will be devoted to developing skills and techniques in Adobe Photoshop. Students will learn fundamental graphics concepts including the use of scale, color, lines, mass, and shapes to effectively convey a message. Students will learn about typography and how to use text to add impact to their work. In the second semester students will learn to create moving graphics and special effects using Adobe After Effects. The goal of this class is to give students fundamental skills in CGI that will help them in advanced video production, and prepare them for further study in computer graphics at the post-secondary level.
